Ashley -my bio.

Yeah so, I'm Ashley. I'm a senior this year, woo! I have a little sister who's a freshman this year, her name is Sarah. You wouldn't know her if you saw her, she's my exact polar opposite. In literally every way. I swear one of us must be adopted... I'm in the marching band, it pretty much takes up 75% of my free time at practices, games and competitions. Even on the off season, I'm constantly practicing on my flute and piccolo in an attempt to make the Texas All State band. But I enjoy band nonetheless, I wouldn't be who I am today if it weren't for it. Most of my friends are in band and I consider the band hall my second home. :) Yes, I know... I'm such a band geek. I also really enjoy art. I'm currently in the Art IV AP class and I can already tell that I'm going to have a lot on my plate this year. This art class is tough and not for the fainthearted. I kicked off my summer this year on an Alaskan Cruise. Pretty cool, huh? Not as cold as you might think, but it was a nice change from the 100+ weather in Texas. I saw lots of whales from the ship and even went on a smaller boat whale watching. Bald Eagles thrive there and you don't go a day without seeing one. Towns in Alaska are small with oldish buildings and few roads. In most towns the only way to get there, is by plane or boat, they are locked in by mountains, rough terrain makes it impossible to build roads on. I also went on a hike to Mendenhall's Glacier. It was probably the most spectacular thing I've ever seen in my life. The ice appears to be a bright blue, even though it is clear the light hits it in a way that makes it appear blue. And yes, Glacier water is the purist most delicious water you will ever drink! I recommend that everyone take a trip to Alaska at least once in their lifetime. Also, this summer I went to the WTAMU band camp. Ha, surprised? It was so much fun. Two weeks of freedom and music and fun with your closest friends, I think yesss! Aside from the required rehearsal, you're free to do whatever you want, go to a movie, the grocery store, hastings, get a snow cone, go to Wendy's, McDonlads, Taco Bell... you name it! There's also an activity center where you can go swimming, bowling, play basketball, volley ball and racket ball. So basically, it's awesome. :) Yeah so I could probably tell you more about myself but I've decided that I don't really feel like saying anymore! So thanks for reading!
